Performed in a slow and relaxed manner, Tai Chi Chuan calms the mind, releasing mental and physical tensions. Daily practice of Tai Chi Chuan promotes better posture, flexibility, and improved circulation, reducing the pain of chronic problems such as repetitive stress injuries and arthritis, and preventing stress-induced disorders such as high blood pressure and digestive problems. Tai Chi Chuan will give its practitioners more energy, stronger health and increased vitality.

As a martial art, Tai Chi Chuan uses the principle of "four ounces of strength versus a ton of force." The Tai Chi practitioner learns to use his own internal energy to neutralize and redirect the momentum of an opponent, allowing the Tai Chi user to overcome a larger, more powerful attacker. For the more advanced student, Tai Chi Chuan weapons forms and free style push hand sparring are also available.

Tai Chi Chuan training includes the following: chi-kung, meditation, forms, pushhands, sensitivity training, and applications.

I will Say I Want it All
...
Small pieces of imagination as we are
We have come a long way to find ourselves
And for outselves, in the dark, the illusions
Of emancipation
